Details
Description: After update to KDE Frameworks 5.29 the
connection of the "weather-widget-2" is partial broken; data
from metno cannot display while connection to OWM still
works. I discovered the problem because I had placed a
harddisk-sensor on my desktop.
Additional info: It seems to be cross problem to the "systemmonitor"-widget, which is part of the "plasma-workspace"; thats why I report it here. Since both widgets, the "weather-widget-2" and the "systemmonitor"-widget didn't change the past weeks but KF-5.29, I suppose a compatibility problem with the latest release of the KDE Frameworks. Steps to reproduce: Get the "Weather Widget 2" from the official KDE Store, right click into the taskbar and add the widget. There are by default already three connections, and you will see the weather data for "Leicester, UK" from the metno sources. Now place the "System monitor Sensor"-widget on the desktop; there is no need for further configuration, the simple presence is sufficient. After signoff/signin you see that the connections to the metno places are broken, indicated by a "-- N/A" but that on OWM ist still alive. Another interesting thing is that the problem only occurs if you have an instance running in the control tray (next to the system tray). If there is a one & only task on the desktop, it works under all circumstances; if you have one in the control tray, other instances on the desktop show the same problem. Since there came a lot of updates around KF-5.29 that day I cannot sort out, which component exactly causes the error, and why the "systemmonitor"-widget has any side effect to the weather-widget. I did already a re-built of the "plasma-workspace"-package and the latest upstream sources of "weather-widget-2", but without any success. I hope someone can confirm this strange behaviour and find a solution for it. For the moment I disabled the harddisk watching. |

This has nothing to do with packaging - please take it upstream.
