Description:
When a TV or other monitor that uses hdmi audio signal is connected to an RPi no sound will play through the speakers. Additional info: * package version(s) alsa-lib 1.2.6.1-1 * config and/or log files etc. * link to upstream bug report, if any https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?p=1979825#p1979542 Steps to reproduce: Boot RPi with HDMI audio/video connected and try to play audio: aplay -D default:CARD=vc4hdmi /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav No audio will play When the attached config file from the link is substituted, the RPi will play the audio sample. It can also be used as an audio output for mpd, for example, and the sound will play through the connected hdmi audio output. |
