DetailsAfter upgrading emacs to version 22.1-1, attempting to run it without alsa-lib installed results in:
"emacs: error while loading shared libraries: libasound.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" This may be a flow-on effect from the now optional sound support, as per: "** Emacs can now be built without sound support." from http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/NEWS.22.1 Additionally, would it be possible to build emacs without sound support, and if people want sound support they can modify the pkgbuild and build it? |
