for info:

Seems to also affect linux-lts 5.15.24-1-lts
I run it next to 5.16.10.arch1-1. I have the problem on both kernels.

mount.nfs: mount(2): Protocol not supported

Do you still use NFS v2? That no more supported for good reasons in nfs-utils.

same here... nfs server is a QNAP device. I don't know if it's relevant.
I didn't any error messages.

Probably a duplicate of  FS#73838 . NFS v3+v4 should keep working and not report "Protocol not supported".

after some troubleshooting, trouble exists with V4 but NOT V3.

Also here both kernels NFSv4 QNAP.
But just hangs instead of "protocol not supported".

Same issue here with 5.16.10. I cannot seem to find any reports upstream on this..

5.16.9.arch.1 is working fine. (https://europe.archive.pkgbuild.com/packages/l/linux/linux-5.16.9.arch1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst)

If upstream is not aware of this issue it won't get fixed magically. So please post this to the stable/nfs mailing list + kernel bugzilla.

Please try 5.15.24-2 from testing repo.

Yes, 5.15.24-2 works! Thank you! Please apply also to 5.16.10.
