The upstream 23.0.1 release is on hold: https://github.com/nextcloud/server/wiki/Maintenance-and-Release-Schedule
So the 23.0.1 version distributed in arch is premature.

The latest stable version is actually 22.2.3 since the 23.0.0 version (like any .0 version) is not considered stable by upstream. I assume the 23.0.0-1 was an exception from arch for some reason but it was not well (or at all?) communicated.

Please consider leaving the unreleased and unstable versions to community-testing.

@tormod: Thanks for the report.

Unfortunately upstream does not really provide a clear instruction on this and it is rather problematic having to rely on an arbitrary wiki page that shows a warning about a specific version being "bad" in an unspecified format.
There is no easy way to either be aware of that automatically or to probe for this information in an automatic fashion. That is what tags and releases are used for!

I will try to keep that page in consideration in the future though, so thanks for bringing it up.

FYI: There is nextcloud 23.0.2 in [community-testing] now (which is - at least according to that wiki page - not bad). Please test and do give signoffs if you can!

@sergej: FYI, I have added the link to the upstream maintenance and release schedule to the nextcloud PKGBUILD. Please also make sure to have a look when there is a new version available. Thanks! :)

Want to add a comment (mildly annoying that it cannot be done on a closed bug):
The "NOTE: do not package x.0.0 versions as they are considered beta" should be kept since the wiki page doesn't mention that.
