DetailsDescription:
This is an issue with the openldap package version 2.6.1-1. In the out-of-box configuration, the systemd unit file for slapd fails to quote $SLAPD_URLS. When using multiple URLS, such as the default "ldap:/// ldapi:///" this causes slapd to immediately exit due to incorrect options. This is not logged, but can be reproduced by hand. Additional info: I have only installed openldap 2.6.1-1 so I do not know if this is a regression, a change in upstream behavior, etc. Placing quotation marks around "${SLAPD_URLS}" rectifies this issue. I have fixed for myself by creating an override file for the systemd unit. |
