Upstream bug #832 causes occasional crashes of the engine in version 1.0.0.⁽¹⁾ An upstream patch is available for that issue:

The patch introduces two null-checks.

Normally Arch does not patch software. However, according to devs, 1.0.1 (which includes this patch) is not going to be released anytime soon due to Windows and OS X build issues.⁽²⁾ Could it be possible to include that patch in the next pkgrel bump of hedgewars-1.0.0? The package builds and works after simply including it as is along the included “hedgewars-network-3.patch”⁽³⁾
