Description:
We do have new WIFI network structure in our school with many, many APs and this leads to problems in WIFI connections. I pulled the problem down to an error message in wpa_supplicant logs:
Jan 21 10:45:24 linuxlaptop-27 wpa_supplicant[888]: dbus: fill_dict_with_properties dbus_interface=fi.w1.wpa_supplicant1.Interface.P2PDevice dbus_property=P2PDeviceConfig getter failed

Asking Google I get different places where same problem popped up without solution. But I found one which looks interesting:
"Debian Bug report logs - #976091
Long Wi-Fi interface name crashes wpa_supplicant impacting Wi-Fi Display and P2P"
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=976091

I am not sure if this patch has already reached "wpa_supplicant 2:2.9-8". It looks like the patch is implemented first at 2.9.0-16 which would mean wpa_supplicant needs an update.
