Details

Behavior:

Even when the indicator is successfully placed and visible, sometimes it vanishes upon logging out and logging back in. Changing the height of the panel usually gets it to reappear, but this seems to be temporary and only lasts until the next login. Sometimes moves around on the panel upon logout & login

To reproduce:

Set panel to 28px in height (this is the height of my panel, but it happens at other heights as well) and attempt to place a battery charge monitor applet on it. It will not show up until you change the height of the panel, and then it's a gamble as to if it will still be there upon logging out and logging back in. Seems to disappear most often when close in proximity to other panel applets.

MATE version: 1.26.0

Versions of the relevant packages:
mate-panel: 1.26.1-1
mate-applets: 1.26.0-1

I know mate has this absurd rule of requiring you to report their bugs to the distributions, but this is not a packaging problem.
