Reason for closing:  Upstream
Additional comments about closing:  Old and stale...and clearly an upstream issue. If still happening, please report upstream to the kernel folks.

I have the same issue about screen refresh rate section missing in gnome control center. There is no problem with LTS kernel.

Kernel 5.17.1 released but there is still no refresh rate section in gnome control center at Display options.

With gnome v42 and linux-5.17.x, the refresh rate section came back but there is no select options only 90hz for my system. But at linux-lts kernel I can select between 60hz and 90hz. So the bug goes on.
