Description:

Since today, when starting Steam, the update modal shows up, but then the user is logged out.
I already tried reinstalling and further updating (the system is updated multiple times a week), but it didn't help.

Oddly, when starting steam via terminal, it works, however I noticed that one of the games didn't start (crashes before any window is opened) that would usually start, while another started fine.
