FS#73425  ? If not please provide a log of a suspend that fails to resume. Have you tried bisecting 5.15 to 5.16 to find the cause?

This could be the same as  FS#73425 , not sure. Mine actually does the same as the screen turns off, but the desktop (Dell XPS 8940 with amdgpu) stays on and only forced powercycle brings it back. My laptop (Dell XPS 13 9300) with intel graphics does not have any problems suspending with linux 5.16.*. However, the bug only affects linux 5.16.* kernels whereas all linux-lts 5.15.* kernels work just fine.

I'm attaching a log of a suspend that fails to resume.

It now appears that this is not the same as  FS#73425 , since that bug has been fixed, and this bug still persists in 5.16.4.arch1-1. The LTS kernel linux-lts 5.15.19-1 has no problem. I haven't tried bisecting this, never done it before..

I found another workaround and/or fix by removing kernel parameter psi=nomsi and the computer is now suspending and resuming normally with kernel 5.16.7-arch1-1. The computer is a Dell XPS 8940 desktop with Intel i7-10700 CPU and Radeon RX 5600 GPU
