In the 2022.01.01 release of Arch, attempting to create a VM with EFI/UEFI enabled and installing Arch will result in an issue where there is no selection option for the Arch install medium (UEFI). Instead the only options are the EFI Shell and rebooting into firmware interface. The only option is to disable EFI in VirtualBox, but that will not allow the user to install Arch in UEFI mode.

Note that this issue is new to 2022.01.01. The previous release (2021.12.01) did not had this issue, and you can still install Arch in UEFI mode as expected.
