Description:

Additional info:
* Linux-5.15.11 compiled from the linux kernel archives

Steps to reproduce:

1. Compile the linux-5.15.11 kernel from the kernel archives with the bootup logo enabled
2. Try to boot it

Expected result: The PC boots with tux on the top of the screen
Actual result: The PC boots, but without tux :(

I use grub and an AMD RX5500XT, so AMDGPU drivers, even with grub set to 1920x1080 tux just doesnt show. I am very sad as this is the only thing I have been trying to fix the past 2 days.

For any response, thank you.

You have to both have amdgpu set to load faster than anything else, (done via mkinitcpio.conf) and you need to compile the kernel with CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE_DEFERRED_TAKEOVER set to N.

After that the penguins show up.
