DetailsWhen I upgraded an ASUS M515D laptop to the latest kernel from the testing repos ([linux] 5.15.3.arch1-1) the computer could no longer boot---fails to mount root.
Before that message I see one that reads "can't change power state from DP0 to DP3 (config space inaccessible)". I had a driver installed with dkms, from the aur, that I thought could be causing the problem. Removing the driver, removing [linux-headers], and reinstalling the [linux] pacakge, did not fix the problem. I tried installing [linux-zen] (5.15.3.zen1-1), which oddly enough works just fine. The laptop has AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Vega mobile graphics. It has a single nvme disk, configured with a fat partition for UEFI boot, and a ext4 for root (not sure if relevant since it couldn't mount root). The oddest component is likely the realtek bluetooth and wifi chip---rtw8821ce. Additional info: * [linux] 5.15.3.arch1-1 not working (but [linux-zen] 5.15.3.zen1-1 is working fine). * Unable to mount root (single nvme drive on system). * Before the unable to mount root message, I can see a "can't change power state from DP0 to DP3 (config space inaccessible)" * CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3500U; Odd wifi/bluetooth combo chip: rtw8821ce. Steps to reproduce: Upgrade to [linux] 5.15.3.arch1-1 on this system and reboot, the system will be unable to mount boot. Install [linux-zen] 5.15.3.zen1-1 and boot to it and system boots. |

If no one else has a similar problem with this new version maybe this could be marked off as resolved.
