Trying to run fio without gperftools installed results in this error:

fio: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Additional info:

* config and/or log files etc.
* link to upstream bug report, if any

Steps to reproduce:
1. Make sure gperftools is uninstalled.
2. Run fio
