DetailsDescription:
After updating my system from kernel version 5.14.16 to 5.15.2, my WiFi stopped working. Ethernet and USB internet remained functional. I am using NetworkManager for my internet access. NetworkManager could see the WiFi card and load the driver, but could not scan and detect WiFi networks. As soon as I downgraded back to the kernel version I was using before, WiFi regained functionality. Additional info: * package version(s) linux 5.15.2 * config and/or log files etc. Attached is a dmesg log before I downgraded * link to upstream bug report, if any Steps to reproduce: Use a RTL8188EUS WiFi card. Upgrade from 5.14.16 to 5.15.2, reboot, and attempt to scan for WiFi networks. |
