Description: [xorg-server] When executing i3 via startx, my session immediately crashes. Xrandr runs when starting i3 and uses the --rotate left option. When removing the Xrandr command from my i3 config, X starts as usual. I can run the Xrandr command for display positioning without error but the X session crashes once I place the --rotate left option into my command.

Additional info:
* xorg-server 21.1.1-3
* GPU: AMD R9 270x
* See file attached for a report with logs. This is taken from my post on the Forum: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=271243
* Apologies in advance if this is the improper way to attach a report.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start a session in X
2. Execute an Xrandr command with argument --rotate left on any existing and active display

I think this is completely resolved. See the update here https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=2003144

I believe the relevant commit that fixed things was here, but I lack context with the codebase to be certain. https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-packages/commit/494a0b762f8ef7d16c6d0e396d365f6337a201de#diff-3e341d2d9c67be01819b25b25d5e53ea3cdf3a38d28846cda85a195eb9b7203a
