DetailsDescription: I think you can use some other java version, not sure at 100%
Steps to reproduce: 1. Install arduino and an other version of jdk!=8 2. Set this version of java as default 3. Run /usr/share/arduino/arduino NB /usr/bin/arduino has a trick to force the use of jdk 8 4. Everything works I think! |

No, this causes Problems. See https://github.com/arduino/Arduino/issues/8903
