Description:

Current package is quite big - 715MB and contains lot of big firmware blobs for hardware that is I'd say not that common (netronome firmware is like 100MB, there are also mellanox, qcom, that are also about 40-50MB each).
So I would like to propose that current package is split into smaller chunks like `linux-firmware` and `linux-firmware-extra` which would contain extra firmware for not so common hardware, or maybe split bigger firmware to separate packages, like `linux-firmware-netronome`, etc.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
20210919.d526e04-1

Version 20220119.0c6a7b3-2 in testing repo has been split. Give it a try.

Works great. Everything still works - wifi, bluetooth and graphics and it saved ~600MB of space.
Kudos to you.
