I am the maintainer for the opencv-cuda AUR package:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/opencv-cuda/
It would be great if this functionality could be integrated into the opencv PKGBUILD, i.e. turning it into a split package which also produces an opencv-cuda package. While I am happy to continue maintaining the AUR package, it is a little inconvenient for users a) having to build it themselves and b) when Arch's opencv package is updated before opencv-cuda and it breaks ABI compatibility until I update things. It's fairly common to have the option to have optional CUDA support in other distros (e.g. here's how the NixOS folks do it: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/blob/nixos-21.05/pkgs/development/libraries/opencv/4.x.nix#L336).
