DetailsSo that people with usb cd drives and ieee cd drives can get to the rest of their drivers.
Also, there's a rescan-scsi-bus.sh script that I can give you. Sometimes, on the vaio, the scsi bus needs to be rescanned to see the cd drive. Modules: ieee1394/ieee1394.ko ieee1394/ohci1394.ko ieee1394/sbp2.ko not sure what the usb cd stuff is... https://xentac.net/svn/arch-jc/trunk/initrd/arch/rescan-scsi-bus.sh Here's a copy of the rescan bus script that worked with the busybox on 0.5. It had ugly output, but it worked. |

Reason for closing: Implemented
Additional comments about closing: Okay, I'll build these drivers into the kernel image, but only for the SCSI install kernel. There's not enough room on the IDE kernel, as that one has to fit on a floppy.

The drivers have been included on the cd proper, but not the initrd. The problem is that people with usb or firewire cd drives (like in my laptop) don't have access to the drivers to access the cd in the first place.
