DetailsWhen running Runescape via snap the system will HARD crash. GPU? RAM? Takes less than 10 minutes to crash. Doesn't seem to crash when NOT playing Runescape. Seems like a GPU crash of lore. Or an out of RAM (64GB machine) type of kernel panic. The system FREEZES, keyboard goes unresponsive. Only a problem on the latest LTS kernel 5.10.73-1. NOT a problem on the previous 5.10.72-1. Was a problem or similar for older mainline kernels, but the current 5.14.12.arch1-1 kernel seems unaffected.
The system in question is a system76 pangolin. AMD 5700U (8 cores 16 threads) with 64GB RAM. |
