Description:
Upstream dkms has a destination override for distributions but not Arch. I have proposed a PR upstream for that. Please consider pulling it into our package. This provides better separation between pre-build kernel modules and dkms ones - similar to how we place pre-build out-of-tree modules in extramodules. Apart from the clarity it provides, it also allows you to have the build/ and kernel/ folders (modules, headers, docs) as read-only. Note: for this to work, my other bug https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/72342 should be addressed as well. Additional info: * package version(s) dkms 2.8.6-2 * link to upstream bug report, if any https://github.com/dell/dkms/pull/159 |
