Can you reproduce the issue using linux 5.15-rc4?

Are there arch packages for linux-headers and linux of 5.15-rc4 available?
I could try tomorrow.

For testing I de-installed openafs and openafs-modules-dkms and upgraded to the current kernel (5.14.9). I can't do much testing without AFS but at least nautilus seamed to work without problems.

I can not test AFS on kernel 5.15 because durng installation I get the following error:
Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 5.15.0-rc4-1-mainline (x86_64)

This is very likely a remaining incopatibility of OpenAFS with Linux 5.14.

See:
* https://lists.openafs.org/pipermail/openafs-info/2021-October/043153.html
* https://lists.openafs.org/pipermail/openafs-info/2021-October/043157.html

As soon as there is a fix available, I'll update the openafs-modules packages in the AUR.

This should be fixed by openafs-modules-1.8.8-2 and openafs-modules-dkms-1.8.8-2. Please let me know if the issue still occurs with those versions. I suggest closing this issue as it is not a bug in any of Arch's official packages.

As a side note: The openafs-modules* packages are not yet compatible with Linux 5.15, so the experienced build failure is (unfortunately) expected.

Yes, excellent, thank you very much. The problem is solved with
linux 5.14.8.arch1-1
openafs-modules-dkms 1.8.8-2
for me now.
