Description:
Not sure if this is a FontForge or a packaging issue. FontForge tries to open its default hotkeys from /share/fontforge/hotkeys/default and its ressources from /share/fontforge/pixmaps/resources instead of /usr/share/fontforge/hotkeys/default and /usr/share/fontforge/pixmaps/resources As result hotkeys aren't working and FontForge really looks ugly. Steps to reproduce: Open a console and run frontforge from it. $ fontforge Copyright (c) 2000-2021. See AUTHORS for Contributors. License GPLv3+: GNU GPL version 3 or later <http://gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html> with many parts BSD <http://fontforge.org/license.html>. Please read LICENSE. Version: 20201107 Based on sources from 2021-09-24 10:04 UTC-ML-D-GDK3. Failed to open hotkey definition file: /share/fontforge/hotkeys/default Failed to open resource file: /share/fontforge/pixmaps/resources As a temporary solution you can create a symlink $ ln -s /usr/share /share Run it again and everything is working fine. |

$ echo $PATH
/usr/local/sbin /usr/local/bin /usr/bin /usr/bin/site_perl /usr/bin/vendor_perl /usr/bin/core_perl
Interestingly I just tried the same on my laptop and it works without symlinking. PATH is exactly the same on both systems.
The only difference I can find so far is the date based on sources

So I guess the problem is somewhere on my Workstation. I'll find out... Sorry for the inconvenience, you may close this ticket.
Thanks!
