DetailsDescription:
Default configuration for mate-screensaver currently includes pam_gnome_keyring.so even though Arch does not install gnome-keyring with MATE nor have it as optional dependency. This results in error message "PAM unable to dlopen(/usr/lib/security/pam_gnome_keyring.so): /usr/lib/security/pam_gnome_keyring.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" every time the screensaver is used. lightdm prevents these messages by using -auth instead of auth (see man pam.conf). mate-screensaver should do the same. Additional info: * 1.26.0-1 * /etc/pam.d/mate-screensaver and proposed change auth include system-auth - auth optional pam_gnome_keyring.so + -auth optional pam_gnome_keyring.so account include system-auth password include system-auth session include system-auth Steps to reproduce: Install mate-screensaver without gnome-keyring |
