Description:
After upgrading from 1.1.0 to 1.2.0 mouse scroll wasn't working anymore.
Tested with multiple mice and with different kernels and it was always the same.

Also, "sudo libinput debug-events" wasn't registering any events

Downgrading to 1.1.0 solves the issue.

Steps to reproduce: upgrade xf86-input-libinput to 1.2.0 and try scrolling while in an xsession

Oh thanks! That's indeed the same issue. It looks like the issue came from ckb-next after all.
After upgrading to ckb-next-git xf86-input-libinput 1.2.0 is working as expected
