Description:
With egl-wayland 1.1.8-1 installed, starting a Plasma Wayland session shows a black screen. The mouse cursor is responsive, and Alt-Tab shows a gray area where Plasma's normal task switching effect is displayed. This does not occur with egl-wayland 1.1.7-1. I'm using a laptop with Intel HD Graphics 520 and NVIDIA GeForce 940MX. I usually only use the NVIDIA card with nvidia-prime (__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __VK_LAYER_NV_optimus=NVIDIA_only __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia), so Plasma should be using the Intel card. Additional info: * package version(s) egl-wayland 1.1.8 nvidia-dkms 470.63.01-1 xf86-video-intel 1:2.99.917+916+g31486f40-1 kwin 5.22.5-1 xorg-xwayland 21.1.2-1 * config and/or log files etc. Attached journal.not-working.txt: Journal for problem session (with egl-wayland 1.1.8) journal.working.txt: Journal for problem session (with egl-wayland 1.1.7) |

This package is causing widespread breakage and I recommend that the Arch team pin the version to 1.1.7-1 until the 495 NVIDIA driver is released.
