The 1.18 release was packaged using the meson build system instead of autotools, and that came with a bunch of side effects, e.g.: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mobile-broadband/ModemManager/-/issues/436 https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mobile-broadband/ModemManager/-/issues/433 We're fixing these issues upstream and they'll be available in 1.18.2, but meanwhile, would it make sense to switch back to autotools? |

If you can get these fixed relatively quickly (I can cherry-pick from master) that would be great; I would prefer to keep Meson.

I'm thinking in releasing 1.18.2 with most of those fixes; I assume that's also a good enough option.
