Details

Description:
Since Node.js v16.9.0 the Corepack is included as part of the Node.js installation.
I added the corepack package in AUR.
I think the corepack package should be listed as an optdepends in the nodejs package.

Additional info:
* package version(s) nodejs-16.9.0-1
* config and/or log files etc.
* link to upstream bug report, if any

Steps to reproduce:
As a user, install the nodejs package, then I don't know where is the corepack command or how I can install it.

Sorry for the bump, but would corepack be added to optdepends in the next Node.js v17?

It should be added in both nodejs and nodejs-lts-gallium (v16) packages because it's present is the installers and the docker images of the LTS v16.

Sorry for the bump. Node.js 17 is out on Community Packages yesterday. Been a month, but still no corepack, it's in the AUR for now though, I already voted

It seems that corepack was added in 17.3.0-1, shouldn't it be on it's own packages as an optdepends?

Corepack is now part of Node.js Fermium LTS v14.19 https://github.com/nodejs/node/releases/tag/v14.19.0
