Description:
Attempting to connect to a network that requires a password causes the UI to freeze and the prompt to get the password does not show up. Using nmtui/cli reveals that the connection has actually been made (but is not authenticated, since we never added the password). Turning the connection off and on in nmtui allows you to enter the password and successfully connect, thus the issue must be in nm-applet. Additional info: * package version(s): 1.22.0-1 * config and/or log files etc. n/a * link to upstream bug report, if any: maybe related to https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/network-manager-applet/-/issues/95, but no exact copy found. Steps to reproduce: Have nm-applet running and left click the icon to bring up the menu and select an SSID that has security, but no saved password. |
