Evolution has a problem finding it's attachment icons when attaching a file to a new mail. It posts the following errors:

(evolution:32284): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: file gdk-pixbuf-io.c: line 761 (gdk_pixbuf_new_from_file): assertion `filename != NULL' failed

(evolution:32284): GnomeUI-CRITICAL **: file gnome-icon-list.c: line 1219 (gnome_icon_list_append_pixbuf): assertion `im != NULL' failed

This started happening after the gnome and gtk updates, so it could be that evolution just needs rebuilt. I've flagged it as out-of-date. Thanks.

Out-of-date isn't the same as broken, this is the place to report broken packages...

I'll rebuild it and see if that helps.

Rebuild doesn't fix it...

looks like it is working now ?

it's still not working for me... I can't seem to find the fix either.

Some googling seemed to suggest that this error shows up when evolution is run outside the gnome desktop environment (I run KDE, and face this error). Suggested solution is to run gnome-settings-daemon , but that will apparently take control of things, such as your mouse settings. Not good!

I run xfce4... but it used to work inside of xfce4 for me - some gtk/gdk update broke it, IIRC.

2.0.1-1t1 fixes this
