Description: Hello. The problem with brightness control remains. Brightness control does not work on 465xx and newer 470xx drivers. Works well at 460xx. With the kernel parameter acpi_backlight=vendor. And adding to xorg.conf Option “RegistryDwords” “EnableBrightnessControl=1”

My hardware: Laptop Asus rog g752vsk: i7 7700hq (No intel graphics!), Nvidia 1070. Kernel: Linux-zen 5.12.14

There are still a lot of such laptops. Dell, MSI. So that should be relevant.
Regards.

Reason for closing:  Upstream
Additional comments about closing:  Doesn't appear to be a packaging issue. We can't deal with NVIDIA module issues itself as it's a binary blob.
