DetailsWhen starting a gnome shell wayland session on the nvidia 470 driver the UI (including the mouse cursor) are redrawn at a lower rate than when using an x.org session. It appears to be half refresh rate with vsync enabled, but only 1 or 2 fps lower without (or with vrr).
There already is an upstream bugreport at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/1883 with a pull request at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/merge_requests/1826 that seems to fix this. package version: mutter 40.3 |

this seems to be fixed with gnome 41 currently in testing
