Details

Description: Since the rebuild against fmt >= 8.0.0 I'm experiencing SIGABRT after unlocking the lock screen on sway.

Additional info:
* waybar 0.9.7-2
* https://github.com/Alexays/Waybar/pull/1144 has been applied for the rebuild
* This seems related: https://github.com/Alexays/Waybar/issues/1158

Steps to reproduce:

Set up screen locking with waylock on sway.
Wait for screen to lock and turn off.
Unlock screen, notice waybar is gone.

Does fmt 8.0.1 fix this issue?

I've pushed waybar 0.9.7-4 to [community-staging] which builds against the fmt 8.0.1 release - if you're able and willing to make sure this is indeed fixed that'd be swell. You'll need to install the following for the updated Waybar:

0.9.7 has been released. Please test and let us know if these issues are fixed.

FWIW: This is still an issue with 0.9.7-5.

Latest comments [1] on the related upstream ticket also seem to suggest that this is not fixed post 0.9.7 either (yet).
