Description:

As stated in https://github.com/shutter-project/shutter/issues/361#issuecomment-879533978 the libappindicator dependency is required when using Shutter in Gnome, otherwise it won't display a tray icon. Not sure if the dependency should be optional or hard as it is core functionality but only affects Gnome.

Run Shutter in Gnome without libappindicator installed, observe that there is no tray icon.
