DetailsI tried the package xf86-video-intel. The first issue I had was with screen resolution, it began with my normal size (1024x768) then increased the width beyond this, not sure what too. Second, in trying to fix the first problem, I did not have any resolution settings in my Xfce Display manager. thirdly, when I tried to watch a dvd, it did not display the movie in gxine, but just a blue screen.
Returning back to xf86-video-i810 fixed these problems. |

can you maybe diff the old and the new xorg.conf?
