I'm using current/firefox 2.0.0.3-1 and extra/flashplugin 9.0.31.0-1

When watching flash videos (for example youtube), at some point firefox will freeze and has to be killed.

It is not really reproducible as it seems to occur randomly, yet quite frequently (browsing through a dozen of videos in youtube is mostly impossible).

The same bug reported on ubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flashplugin-nonfree/+bug/92207

However some distribution don't seem to have that problems, that is why I'm not really sure who is the culprit.
This task depends upon

I have exactly the same problem (same versions of each package).

The problem seems to occur when Flash is still loading some stuff (for exemple, content from youtube) and I go on another page or close the current tab.

Looks like an upstream bug in flashplugin and as said on the ubuntu bugtracker, we can't really fix it. I'm assigning this to the flash-plugin maintainer.

There's a ugly workaround to this issue, as suggested in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/104470

1. Open a new FireFox window.
2. Go to Youtube and select to open any random video.
3. Press pause so it doesn't reach the end.
4. Minimize that window.
5. Open a new FireFox window.
6. In the new browser, surf the net, watch videos, do whatever.

This method seems to work, at least for me and some people on the ubuntu bugtracker.

still an issue?
I have no problems in Epiphany, so I don't suspect flashplugin here.
