I can reproduce this at random on my MSI Megabook S262 (i945GM, Core Duo T2050). In addition, my screen fails to turn on the backlight when it's connected to AC when it returns from any powersaving mode, this worked fine with 2.6.20.

I've tried disabling my sound card driver "snd-intel-hda" ,and have tried disabling my usb driver , but still can't poweroff it.
Now I get a new "COMPAQ" laptop , everything is fine. And the laptop before will be given to my mom with windows Vista installed...........

Thanks to the laptop before, I'm quite familiar with the detail options in kernel compiling now.........
