Uhm but why? It's still usable and pretty popular terminal and the announcement was just posted yesterday. There are many "unmaintained" packages in repos which don't see upstream activity for years yet still build and function fine and are widely used.

My thought was that having it in the official repos might do more harm than good, since terminals are such a security-critical part of the system, and since it was directly superseded by Alacritty. Removing it wouldn't affect anyone who has it installed, but would make new users lean towards an actively developed alternative.

I don't feel strongly one way or another, though, but I just wanted to throw this out there.
