I solve it instaling purple-plugin-pack.

pacman -S purple-plugin-pack

why pacman no upgrade or install this package?

PD: sorry my english :)
Comment by Roman Kyrylych (Romashka) - Sunday, 06 May 2007, 12:03 GMT
purple-plugin-pack shouldn't be required to run pidgin
Comment by Martín (kstor) - Sunday, 06 May 2007, 15:40 GMT
But, cause the Segmentation fault when run pidgin. :s

I don't have pidgin plugin pack installed and everything is working just fine here. Could it be related to a specific protocol you are trying to use?
Comment by Martín (kstor) - Monday, 07 May 2007, 20:27 GMT
I use msn and jabber protocols
Comment by Mike (shen) - Friday, 11 May 2007, 17:38 GMT
I installed purple-plugin-pack and I still get this message..

libnm_glib_nm_state_cb: dbus returned an error.
(org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown) The name org.freedesktop.NetworkManager was not provided by any .server file.

Similare to the others but still different. The protocols I use are Jabber and that is it.

Ok solved the issued I had by recompiling pidgin without network manager support. Sorry for the confusion.
Comment by Dan McGee (toofishes) - Friday, 11 May 2007, 18:27 GMT
Did you have network manager installed before when you were having the problems, or was that the issue? We recently added network manager support, but it is a fairly recent addition to pidgin so if it causes problems we can remove it for now.
