DetailsI'm filing this as a bug because in http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Kde, the package maintainer tpowa says that he should be contacted before changing the page, but doesn't mention an e-mail address,
There's no mentioning of how to actually install KDE on Arch (the equivalent Gnome and XFCE pages do give such instructions). A quick howto would suffice, something like pacman -S kde enable portmap, fam, dbus, hal, arts, kdm in rc.conf (the above is unchecked) |
This task depends upon
1) there is a Talk feature in MediaWiki,
bugtracker is not a place for anything wiki-related
2) fam, portmap, dbus, hal and kdm are not required to run KDE, arts is loaded automatically if configured from KDE IIRC,
also there are instructions how to use KDE with dbus and hal
3) as tpowa is KDE maintainer and KDE is official package then he is Arch developer and thus his mail can be found on Developers page: http://www.archlinux.org/developers/ or you can contact him by PMing in forum (he probably didn't post his email there because of spam concerns)
4) there is http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beginners_Guide with nice instruction how to get common desktop system
5) this is not a _bug_ ;)
