Description:
In VSE, when I want to build proxy for a movie strip, it pretends that the proxy is being built but when it finishes, the proxy is not actually used. When I run blender from terminal, I can see error messages `Error encoding proxy frame X for '<path>'` where X are frame numbers from 0 up and `<path>` is the path to the proxy file.

Additional info:
package version: 17:2.92.0-5

This DOES NOT happen with the official version downloaded from https://www.blender.org/download, which is version 2.92.0, branch: master, commit date: 2021-02-24 16:25, hash: `rB02948a2cab44`.

Steps to reproduce:
See attached screen recording. The video file used in this experiment can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jkv9fljaj9a3nro/test.mkv?dl=1

Noticing the other bug here ( FS#70630 ), this is also probably caused by incompatible ffmpeg. I reported this in upstream as well: https://developer.blender.org/T87932

This should be fixed as of Blender 2.93. Could you check?

Just upgraded to 2.93 and I still get the same behaviour. The only difference is that now a 100% proxy (or other % that is set in the view properties of the display area) is built automatically when a clip is added to the timeline. A few times (I cannot see a pattern) the console did not show anything wrong when adding a clip but when I force rebuild of the proxy via the rebuild proxy and timecode button, without even touching the proxy settings, the same error is presented.

Could you recheck with the most recent version and also provide detailed step by step instructions on how to reproduce this?

Now it works like a charm, so nothing to reproduce. Thank you!

Great to hear! It might have been a recent config change I did to embree or one of the patch updates.
