Could you please enable CONFIG_IDLE_PAGE_TRACKING (CONFIG_IDLE_PAGE_TRACKING=y). Ubuntu kernels offer this out of the box. It's very useful for system profiling - especially hot memory pages. I'm working on some user-facing tools that make this much simpler and without this being on by default in kernels, this makes the feature essentially inaccessible as 99% of people will not want to install a custom kernel.The fact it's available in art least one other major distro "out of the box" suggests it's not an issue having it on by default. Additional info: It'd be nice if next kernel release you could just flip this to y. Steps to reproduce: N/A |
