News items on the main page and the news page (http://www.archlinux.org/news/) are sorted by date order and not by ID, which does not correctly preserve chronological order of postings.

Any day with more than one post will have them in reverse order.

probably just needs a modification in one of the views.
Something like..
foo = News.objects.order_by('-id')[:10]
