DetailsThe latest version of perl-algorithm-diff in the repos is 1.201-1. The version before that was 1.1903-6.
Therefore pacman does not upgrade the package when running a system upgrade, saying: warning: perl-algorithm-diff: local (1.1903-6) is newer than community (1.201-1) If this is a one-off, then the epoch of the package should be bumped to ensure the new version counts as an upgrade in version comparisons. If this is not a one-off but the nature of how perl-algorithm-diff does their version numbers, then perhaps the version number should be padded on the right with zeros or something like that (whatever makes sense given their version number scheme) to ensure it always increases numerically. |
