After some recent updates (I guess lots of Gnome packages switching to version 40), several icons are missing in the panel, and that space is just blank. I have to guess what's there by activating the tooltip with the pointer.

Missing icons include: Menu (bottom left corner), Gnome terminal, calculator, screenshot

Still present are icons non-Gnome programs like Firefox, Thunderbird or Chromium.

Package versions:
cinnamon 4.8.6-1
cinnamon-control-center 4.8.2-1
cinnamon-desktop 4.8.1-1
cinnamon-menus 4.8.3-1
adwaita-icon-theme 40rc-1
gtk-update-icon-cache 1:4.0.3-3
hicolor-icon-theme 0.17-2
gnome-terminal 3.40.0-1 (gnome)
gnome-calculator 40.0-1 (gnome)
gnome-screenshot 40.0-2 (gnome)

It's not only the panel, the icons are missing in other places too, like the window overview popup when pressing Alt+Tab.

Out of curiosity, any idea which package(s) caused it to be fixed?

I don't know. Attached is the pacman.log excerpt. After that update and a reboot it worked again.
