Details

When attempting to use nm-applet (gnome-network-manager) in Xfce4, the following error occurs:
** (nm-applet:5140): WARNING **: <WARN> nma_dbus_init(): could not acquire its service. dbus_bus_acquire_service() says: 'Connection ":1.14" is not allowed to own the service "org.freedesktop.NetworkManagerInfo" due to security policies in the configuration file'

Following the advice of this thread:

which is to add the user to the network group does not work.

I forgot to add, "Launch Gnome services on startup" is enabled in Xfce.

Nevermind, I forgot to restart the service after adding to network group. It works now.
