it should have been built with clipboard and unicode support.

I have this same issue. Mupdf can't be used at all: opening a pdf, I can see the first page, but it doesn't respond to anything I do.

I can't find any information on this or a workaround.

As was commented on another bug here, the non-gl mupdf works with no issues.

See [1] it appears the bundled fork of glut would need to be used to add clipboard and unicode support.
